TEXT: “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise” Proverb 11 :30.A believer who engages in soul winning is wise. Soul winning is God’s number one job, the primary assignment of every Christian. It is not a job for pastors and evangelists only, but for all that are saved. The moment you were born again, you immediately became God’s agent of salvation to a lost and hurting world. He gave you the Holy Ghost and empowered you to be an effective witness. Acts. 1 :8; “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me…The glorious gospel of the blessed Lord has been committed to your trust (1 Tim. 1 :11). Therefore you must preach the gospel as though God depended on you alone to evangelize the whole world. Apostle Paul understood this and said, “Necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel” (1 Core. 9 :16). What a statement of commitment!Nothing else is as important to God as soul winning, you must also get to that point where nothing else is as important as being an effective witness for Christ. Then you are indeed the wise believer unstoppable in reflecting the glory of God because, “They that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever” Dan. 12
